Just go kill the two cows and loot them, exit town and re-enter to spawn them to kill them again. It maybe rather slow for leveling up and raising the skill xp. After you've collected meat from them enough you can then sell the meat rotten or good for a good price at the first store. I managed 100,000 within an hour. It is very tedious and time consuming, but it's worth it from the start of the game.
